Mel Kiper’s Jr.’s Rant About Bryce Younger’s Benching Is Going Viral

The Carolina Panthers’ resolution to bench Bryce Younger has many individuals speaking across the NFL.

It’s a transfer that’s raised various eyebrows, given Younger’s standing as the primary general decide within the draft.

Benching such a high-profile rookie after simply 18 video games is nearly unprecedented, and it’s left many questioning the crew’s long-term technique and stability.

ESPN analyst Mel Kiper Jr. pulled no punches when addressing the scenario on Tuesday’s “Get Up” present.

He went on an extended rant in regards to the Panthers group, arguing that Younger shouldn’t bear the brunt of the blame for his struggles.

“Accountable this on Bryce Younger is ridiculous. The blame right here goes to the group, the proprietor, for mishandling this younger quarterback,” Kiper asserted.

He pointed to the revolving door of coaches and important adjustments in offensive technique as key components in Younger’s difficulties.

Kiper advised that Carolina’s decision-making could have been influenced by C.J. Stroud’s fast success with the Texans, resulting in hasty adjustments and inadequate preseason preparation for Younger.

Kiper’s arguments maintain water when you think about Younger’s entry into the NFL.

At 5’10” and 204 kilos, he doesn’t match the mildew of a typical quarterback, which raised questions regardless of his 2021 Heisman Trophy win.

Not like some previous No. 1 picks, Younger wasn’t considered as a positive factor, and as Kiper notes, the Panthers appear to have fumbled his growth from the beginning.

There’s no denying Younger’s rookie 12 months was tough, and his progress has been restricted.

His Week 2 efficiency – a mere 84 yards on 26 passes – was significantly disappointing.

Nevertheless, given the difficult circumstances he’s confronted, it’s honest to say that many quarterbacks would have struggled in his footwear.
